THE EVENT
Let's see... A warm July night in trendy,
upscale Westfield. Add a fast and scenic 5K, a great--and we mean
great!--band and an amenities package that can't be beat. Did we forget
the pizza? It all adds up to the 8th Annual Downtown Westfield 5K and
Pizza Extravaganza.
The fast, slightly modified new course will challenge you and you'll
finish at Elm and Broad streets in the heart of downtown. Come early,
stay late, as we entertain and feed you. We'll also throw in some neat
surprises. (Hint--Embroidered hat to first 600 entrants.) We expect 2200
runners in 2009!
Westfield is a snap to find using the Garden State Parkway or Route 22.
Pre-registration guarantees a T-shirt to the first 2000 and a cap to the
first 600.

residential neighborhoods.

DIRECTIONS:
From the Garden State Parkway--Take the GSP to Exit 135 (Clark/Westfield.)
From the Northbound GSP, stay to the left and go around the circle toward
Westfield. From the Southbound GSP, stay to the right. This is Central
Avenue. Stay on Central for approx. 3-3.5 miles to South Avenue. Turn left
onto South Avenue and continue for about 1/4 mile to park at the South
Avenue Train Station parking lot. Once parked, use the underpass in the
middle of the train station to arrive at registration.
From Route 78--Best route. Go to the GSP South and follow the above directions.
From Route 22--Take the Mountain Avenue Exit (Westfield) to Broad Street. Turn right on Broad, left on Central, right on South. Follow the above directions.
